Bridges Health & Community Care “Bridges” is a for purpose charity specialising in programs and services for people who experience adversity and distress. As a values-driven organisation we ensure our services focus on the individual’s needs, their recovery goals and their right to self-determination and respect.

We deliver a range of mental health and drug and alcohol services across all ages and service types, such as psychology, counselling, specialised treatment options, peer support and community-based supports, rehabilitation and individual and group programs for children, youth, adults and families. 

We also offer employment support services through a Disability Employment services specialising in working with people with mental health issues.  

We offer pre and post transition service for people who have been incarcerated, work with youth in trouble with the law to keep them out of prison and turn their lives around. We offer services in rural Qld and are passionate about ensuring people regardless of where they live can access to help and support, they need.

For the past 22 years we coordinated and delivered numerous health promotion activities, training and education to specific cohorts e.g. prisoners and co-designed numerous projects and activities to raise awareness of mental illness and associated issues.

We are an NDIS provider, delivering allied health services such as occupational therapy, support coordination and core supports for our specialist client group(s).

 

About the role

Bridges Health & Community Care “Bridges” is seeking an experienced Project Manager to implement our Mind-Life Initiative throughout Qld. Funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency through their Information, Linkages & Capacity (ILC) building grants for 2 ½ years, Mind-Life aims to improve the disability sector and broader community’s understanding of psychosocial disability through reframing the term psychosocial so that it is easily understood, in terminology that is more acceptable and less stigmatising, resulting in better outcomes for people who are experiencing Mind-Life adversity. As Project Manager, you will participate in the planning and co-design of Mind-Life resources in partnership with people with lived experience, our creative marketing team and external consultants experienced in mental health programs, social media and program design and evaluation.

You will be responsible for coordinating a rolling roadshow in 10 major cities and communities, delivering presentation on the Mind-Life concept and how it can improve access and outcomes for our target group.

Service providers will be provided with tools and resources to improve their understanding of client needs and Mind-Life service options, including the NDIS. People with Mind-Life adversity will have access to information and referral options to build their capacity and self-manage their Mind-Life needs. Design thinking methodology, co-designed with lived experience and end users, will be used to produce resources that are user-friendly and accessible to anyone.

While Bridge’s Head Office is based in Bundaberg, we are willing to employ a project manager from any major city in Qld to ensure we secure the best and most suitable candidate. You must have exceptional communication skills, experience in working in the social sector, preferably mental health, amazing time management and exceptional IT skills. Renumeration is approximately $110K per annum, plus salary sacrificing, with all costs associated with the project covered through the grant. Must be willing and able to travel (fly and drive).
