About the organisation
Orange Sky Australia (OSA) is a not-for-profit organisation focused on the provision of free laundry and showers to people experiencing homelessness. We’re growing, and fast. Since 2014, we’ve expanded our reach to every capital city in Australia and most recently, across the waters to Auckland, too.
Through a network of vans and with the help of almost 2,000 volunteers across Australia and New Zealand, our mobile service is a catalyst for positive, genuine conversation. We’re driven, dedicated, insanely ambitious and a little unconventional. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work hard and ‘get it done’, but always make time to celebrate each other’s success.

About the role
Daily life at Orange Sky couldn’t be any further from the regular 9-5 grind. No two days are ever the same. Life at Orange Sky is fast paced and exciting, and you can always count on the support of an amazing team.
Our mobile laundry and shower vans are how we connect to our friends on the street and we’re always striving to do things better.
The Major Giving Manager is responsible for the delivery of our philanthropy and major gifts program. In a nutshell, you’ll inspire individuals to donate and cultivate ongoing relationships with them using your personal brand. Through you, we will be able to continue our mission of positively connecting communities.
We’re looking for:
Networking extraordinaire – You are passionate about fundraising and have ground-floor experience conceiving, developing and executing fundraising programs from scratch. You think strategically, act tactically and always have your eye on the prize, no matter what life throws at you. You have strong emotional intelligence with a communication style that engages a wide range of people and are constantly building relationships and networks. In this role you will develop an innovative operational plan to grow our donor base.
Experience in a similarly complex, growing not-for-profit organisation would be preferred.
Tech-savvy. We’re building some amazing tech systems – you’re no stranger to Internet-based applications, CRM databases and project management software.
Unflappable. Crazy things happen. You are able to pause and laugh at them for a second before quickly taking action to make problems disappear seamlessly. Last-minute changes and random curveballs don’t bother you. Juggling tasks and balancing competing priorities is your superpower. You’re cool, collected and well…unflappable.
