Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ) is a large, dynamic organisation with more than 65 locations throughout South East Queensland supporting around 100,000 Queenslanders every year. A Uniting Church led, not-for-profit organisation with over 100 years’ of deep history, WMQ has a culture steeped in hope, respect, compassion, empowerment, innovation, justice and integrity.  The retirement of the long term, highly respected CEO creates an opportunity for a new leader to guide the organisation into the future.

Responsible to the WMQ Council and Board, the CEO leads formation and execution of strategic and operational plans and inspires the organisation to lead in providing exceptional community and aged care services.  Key accountabilities will include:

• Lead, manage, support and actively encourage the organisation’s relationship with the Church ensuring an organisational and performance culture that demonstrates commitment to the Purpose, Mission, Vision, Values and the Wesley Charter
• Lead effective governance, financial and operational frameworks that ensure the organisation thrives and is protected from risk
• Be the lead voice in representing the organisation externally to a vast and diverse group of stakeholders in the public, private and community sectors – ensuring beneficial and mutually rewarding partnerships and positive brand positioning

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong record of innovative, visionary, values-led leadership, as a CEO, that has grown a complex organisation recognised for delivery of quality outcomes and financial sustainability in the human services and/or health or related person-centred industries.  You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and be deeply values aligned.

Whilst strong preference will be given to suitably aligned candidates from the human services and/or health sectors we will also consider exceptional CEO level candidates who can demonstrate commitment and passion for the delivery of services supporting people living with frailty, illness, disability and disadvantage.
