Ngaimpe Aboriginal Corporation operates The Glen, a 37-bed Aboriginal Community controlled drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre servicing the Central Coast and wider NSW. The Glen’s award-winning program are designed to treat a client in a holistic manner. This means treating the person as a whole (spiritually, mentally, culturally and physically). It also means trying to not just treat their addiction but the things that may be causing the addictive behaviours.

What to expect
The Glen is a very unique work environment. We work with vulnerable Australians who have fallen through the cracks of society. Some of our clients are institutionalised, come from broken families and suffer from mental health issues. There are difficult days so you will require patience, compassion, understanding and will need to tailor teaching methods according to the client.
The Glen is a planned and process-driven organisation, and you will be expected to use technology such as Microsoft Outlook email and calendars, Google to-do lists and Whatsapp to communicate with the team. There are times when things don’t go to plan, so expect the unexpected and be prepared to be flexible and dynamic.

About the role
You will coordinate case management throughout the client journey. This means liaising with various members of the clinical team:
- The Outreach and intake team for clients waiting for treatment
- Counsellors for Clients in program
- Clinical manager for Clients in transition
- Outreach team for clients who have completed the program
You will be required to:
- Audit case management files
- Make appropriate referrals to service delivery partners
- Problem solve case management issues
- Write letters and help complete forms
- Make telephone calls with various stakeholders
- Use case management Software to keep track of client progress & case management issues
- Organise zoom meetings
- Complete reporting for internally for the team and externally (funding bodies)
Minimum requirements:
- Very strong administration and IT skills (Microsoft Excel and databases)
- Understanding of clinical management software and ability to learn new systems
- Understanding of KPIS and government reporting requirements
- Case management experience and referral process
- Strong Relationship building skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, to plan, prepare and be organised
Hours
Full-time Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm.
