About Mind-Life

Bridges Health & Community Care Ltd is an experienced provider of mental health and other community services. Bridges is funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency‘s Information Linkages and Capacity (ICL) Building Grant to deliver the Mind-Life initiative. This 2.5 year project is Queensland based and especially focuses on regional and rural communities.

Mind-Life Project aims to design, develop and deliver a range of interactive and open source resources through social media, workshops and roadshows within Queensland regional and rural communities. Its resources are tailored to people who experience the impacts resulting from mental illness and or its treatments and to their families and the communities that they live within. These resources will:

  1. Reframe the construct of psychosocial disability;
  2. Create learning opportunities that promote decision-making and choice;
  3. Create learning opportunities so that service providers and the wider community are resourced to provide open access to all of its community members.

Evaluation

The Mind-Life initiative is seeking an external experienced program evaluator or evaluation team that can measure the quantitative and qualitative outputs, outcomes and processes of the Mind-Life project. (refer to Appendix A).

The Mind-Life initiative utilises a range of platforms to develop its resources and reach its target stakeholder groups including, social media, product development and learning opportunities with regional and rural communities. It intentionally utilises an iterative human centred design and as such, it’s important for the evaluation to track its processes.

This evaluation would be attractive to those with an interest in service modelling, social impact, human centred design, and knowledge translation.
