Your New Role
In this role, you will lead a range of well-established innovative programs for people with Down syndrome and as well as having the scope to design new programs. These programs work with people from age 15 years up with the aim of facilitating social participation and skills development.
This is a multifaceted role which will see you work with program participants, families, staff and volunteers, so there is plenty of stakeholder engagement. You will design, plan, implement, evaluate and report on your programs. You will run the operations of your programs including recruiting and leading staff and volunteers, managing risk and overseeing your budget. You will help with grant submissions and acquittals as well as looking after the program’s online presence.
About You
You will be an experienced program coordinator/team leader with demonstrated success in designing and implementing group learning and leisure programs including:
- On a practice level: you will have a deep commitment to person-centred practice, experience working with people with an intellectual disability, success in designing programs and strong NDIS knowledge.
- On a relational level: your communication skills will be effective across a wide range of stakeholders and audiences and you will be adept at building relationships and partnerships.
- On an operational level: you have well-developed organisational and planning skills, are comfortable with deadlines and can use technology effectively; you will be able and willing to attend events outside working hours and at weekends (not all the time!).
