About the role

Scope has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Quality Business Partner to work within our Quality and Safeguarding Division with Home@Scope. The role will be based in the Dandenong/Box Hill area and cover South East Metro and Regional South East business areas of the organisation.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ability to support the quality standards, systems and practices
  • A commitment to Customer focused support
  • Assist in monitoring quality and risk systems and work practices to identify and ensure compliance with relevant Standards, including but not limited to the NDIS Practice Standards
  • Identify and drive opportunities for improvement through the facilitation of the internal audit system and regional quality and practice governance meetings
  • Coordinate and collate data to support trend analysis and reporting that will inform continuous improvement
  • Support preparation for NDIS certification and other external audits
  • Coach, mentor and positively contribute to and influence the promotion of person-centred support, continuous improvement, compliance and quality service delivery across the business
  • In collaboration with the Operational Team facilitate, support, educate and coach all relevant stakeholders with projects aimed at improving quality of service
  • Actively support positive culture change through coaching and mentoring
  • Ability to establish effective, supportive and harmonious working relationships

About You

  • Previous experience in a quality role, with a sound understanding of quality management systems including continuous improvement principles, internal auditing practice and the ability to coordinate quality improvement plans
  • Experience in Community and/or NFP organisations would be highly regarded
  • Good understanding of the needs and supports of people living with a disability
  • Sound understanding (or ability to rapidly understand) the legislative and regulatory environment for disability support services
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and Quality and Safeguarding Framework would be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated understanding of human rights and other person-centred approaches as they apply to practice
  • Ability to collect, monitor and analyse data to create and implement continuous improvement actions
  • Ability to present education packages to a varied group of stakeholders
  • Experience with computer database system
  • Ability to ‘think on your feet’ to progress difficult/challenging discussions and inspire confidence
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders within operational structures
  • Enthusiastic, strives for excellence and executes consistently in line with organisational goals
  • Ability to approach change with positivity
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Communicates fully and openly and treats others with respect
  • High degree of integrity and strong Customer focus
