About the role
- Newly created executive leadership position
- Flexible working hours and work from home roster
- Drive impact focused on eradicating DFV
Australia’s CEO Challenge (ACEOC) is a leading independent social enterprise which works to help create a world free from domestic and family violence (DFV). Their purpose is to engage businesses and workplaces to address the issues of DFV; build communities that are more informed about DFV; and facilitate business-community partnerships that increase resources addressing DFV.
To support a steep growth strategy enabling ACEOC to expand their reach and impact, we are seeking experienced candidates to be considered to join the organisation in the new role of Chief Operating Officer. With a clear opportunity for extension and expansion, an initial 12-month contract is on offer – flexible hours and working from home arrangements will also be negotiable.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board, the role will see you take responsibility for driving strategy across ACEOC in operational performance and business development. Ensuring that all operational or strategic plans support the continuation of the exceptional reputation and values that have made ACEOC such a respected provider, you will also nurture key external relationships, business partners, government, and community contacts.
Coupled with an authentic connection to eradicating DFV, to be effective in this new role your solution-oriented leadership style will be assertive and compassionate, delivering positive business development outcomes via a growth mindset. With an expert grasp of the leveraging effect of your extensive network, you will have led organisational change and developed scalable operating models and structures to support growth. You will have previously managed complex stakeholder relationships and be capable of maintaining relationships with these varied stakeholders and staff alike.
Possessing well-developed governance, financial and risk management capabilities – plus the ability to step out of the macro and into the micro to undertake day to day corporate services tasks – this position offers you the opportunity to utilise your broad-based leadership skills and play a leading role during an exciting time for ACEOC.
To apply please submit your resume and a 1-2 page document outlining why you are the best person for this rare opportunity. Confidential enquiries should be made to Ben Thurlow on 07 3305 5800. Applications close 28 January 2021 and the successful applicant will be required to pass a criminal history check.
