About the role

ARTD is looking for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with tertiary qualifications, seeking opportunities to apply their skills in problem solving, listening and collaboration in their work. Your background could be in community service, science, the humanities, law, medicine, or any other discipline. We are committed to diverse viewpoints and hope to benefit from your unique experience.

In this position, you will work in one of our consulting teams on a broad array of issues. You will work on projects which specifically affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as well as issues which affect broader populations. This opportunity would suit someone who is analytically-minded, sees themselves as a life-long learner, is good at talking to people, writing and/or working with spreadsheets and finding patterns in data and communicating the bigger picture.

You will work closely with an Aboriginal Director and skilled teams in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Depending on your current skills and experience, you will be provided with the support required to develop your skills and practice and to manage a portfolio of clients and projects.

Key knowledge, qualifications and experience

    • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with a commitment to working with Indigenous people and communities.
    • Good critical thinking, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
    • Hold an undergraduate or post-graduate degree.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook including the ability to use or commitment to learn how to use MS Word and Excel.
    • Effective time management skills, juggling multiple tasks to competing deadlines.
    • Value working as part of a team, producing high quality work.

Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time role located in either our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office, or it could be part time depending on your availability.

Your salary will be commensurate with your experience. We offer attractive conditions, including Christmas bonus leave, the opportunity to work flexibly (remotely and in alignment with your broader commitments) and a strong commitment to professional development.

You will be eligible for a performance-linked bonus based on the achievement of the ARTD consultancy income targets.
