Guide Dogs is the leading Australian provider of guide dogs and orientation and mobility services for people with sight loss. We are a trusted, long-standing and a well recognised charity.

As the Philanthropy Coordinator in the Guide Dogs NSW/ACT team you will develop and coordinate a suite of major donor communications to facilitate the funding of our programs and services and provide tailored reciprocal donor benefits, in order to solicit support from major donors, philanthropic supporter groups and individuals. Additionally, you will lead the mid-tier program by identifying, cultivating and stewarding a select portfolio of donors.

A little more information on some of the things you will be doing:

  • Coordinate marketing collateral, events and other activities to promote the features and content of packages for potential donors, with a particular focus on supporting our flagship program: Guide Dog Partner and the mid-tier donor program.
  • Develop relationships through informing on Guide Dogs’ programs and services, cultivation, thanking/receipting, reporting and ongoing donor care.
  • Coordinate bespoke communications through research and reporting.
  • Solicit donations through the preparation and presentation of written proposals, face to face, phone and email asks.

About you:

Ideally you will have had prior fundraising experience (2+ years) and account management experience, and will have completed a relevant tertiary qualification. You are an enthusiastic and results-driven self-starter with strong communication and networking skills with all stakeholders. You will have sound skills in utilising a customer relationship management system and Microsoft Office to support donor management and undertake advanced reporting.

You have excellent organisation and administrative skills, you thrive in a role where you are required to manage multiple relationships and projects simultaneously. Additionally, you are comfortable with and able to handle dogs, and possess a current driver’s licence.
