Professional Development Officer

Writing NSW is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Professional Development Officer who will work closely with the writing community to administer our exciting program of face-to-face and online courses and other services for writers.

Under the direction of the Program Director, you will coordinate the operation of our professional development program, contribute to strategies for future programming and help promote the program through our weekly e-newsletter, digital platforms, print publications and other channels.

You will have experience in administering training programs within an arts or adult education environment, as well as strong communication and digital skills. Your interest in writers and engagement with the writing community will equip you to help set strategic directions for our professional development program. You will be creative, energetic, flexible and an excellent communicator and team player, with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Consultative, but also able to work independently, you will demonstrate a rigorous attention to detail and a determination to get things right.

This is a full-time position, with some weekend and evening work required. The salary package will be $55-65,000 including superannuation, depending on experience.
