Advancement at The University of Queensland (UQ) works in partnership with academic and professional colleagues throughout the University to increase engagement and to establish enduring relationships with key constituents including alumni, community, friends, organisations, trusts, foundations, industry and corporations. About This Opportunity
UQ Advancement are seeking a Research Analyst to conduct detailed research on individuals and organisations to support the prospect identification and relationship building needs of Advancement. This will be done through prospect research, with the appointee proactively planning and executing strategies to identify potential partners and donors whose interests may align with UQ research and educational initiatives. They will also be responsible for the preparation of routine and custom reports and profiles that will support relationship building, stewardship activities and prospect identification. The successful appointee will also be responsible for data enrichment, with ensuring that all data from research is maintained and updated into the CRM database.

Our Ideal Candidate
You will have completed an undergraduate degree with extensive relevant work experience in prospect research, information management or a related research field. You will have a high level of knowledge of prospect research, specifically in a higher education environment. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of fundraising concepts and issues, with the ability to research individuals and organisations as prospective donors, sponsors and volunteer leaders. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also demonstrate a high level of organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
Experience working within higher education Advancement or in the not-for-profit sector, desirable but not essential. Experience using alumni and fundraising databases such as Raiser’s Edge will also be viewed favourably.

What We Can Offer
This is a full-time, fixed term position until 31 December 2021 at HEW level 6.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $80,784.26 – $86,768.42, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $94,517.58 – $101,522.11.
