The Team

SVA’s Finance team manages the financial operations of SVA. The team reports to the Executive Director, Strategic Business Operations, and consists of a Finance Director, a Finance Manager, a Financial Accountant, an Assistant Accountant, and an Accounts Payable Officer.

The Position

Working as part of the Finance team, you will ensure all accounts payable processes are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner. You will also support the wider Finance operations to ensure SVA’s financial position and resources are closely monitored and managed as required. Your responsibilities will cover two key areas, supplier and expense management and general accounting support for people and teams doing incredible work in the social purpose sector. As you progress, you will also gain opportunities to support the team through project work.

Who you are

Do you have a “can do” attitude and a belief that no job is too big or small to deserve your attention? Are you proud of your attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and your ability to process transactions efficiently? Ideally, this will be combined with 1 to 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable role or an administrative role where you had some responsibility for, or involvement in, purchasing. We will consider someone with less experience who can demonstrate these qualities and an enthusiasm for learning and working in the for-purpose sector. You will take pleasure in using your effective written and verbal communication skills and you will enjoy working in a collaborative team.
