About the role

The Uniting Church in Australia (Synod of Victoria and Tasmania), has an exciting opportunity available to join our team as the People & Culture Coordinator.

The successful candidate will receive on the job training, development opportunities and ongoing mentoring/coaching.

In this role, you will support the organisation by providing a range of Human Resources services, administration and support.

As part of the small and supportive People & Culture team, you will ensure accurate and timely administration of employment contracting, compliance training and record keeping. Using your knowledge of modern awards and legislation, you will also provide general information and advice to UCA staff.

The People & Culture Coordinator has the opportunity to work in the areas of employee performance, recruitment and induction, staff engagement/recognition, conflict resolution, internal training, and a range of People & Culture programs.

This is a 12 month parental leave cover.

About you (Key Selection Criteria)

To secure this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or a related field. 
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Human Resources role would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Micropay (payroll system), HRIS, SharePoint (web content management) would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Experience within the not-for-profit sector is desirable.
