PCYC has over 70,000 youth members who engage in sport, recreation, education, leadership, and cultural programs. PCYC also work with more than 7,500 at-risk youth per year to break the cycle of disadvantage through crime prevention, education, and social responsibility programs.

About the role

SOCIAL IMPACT EVALUATION MANAGER

Join a passionate and professional team empowering young people throughout NSW in partnership with NSW Police. PCYC NSW has almost 80 years’ experience in delivering programs and activities to young people to develop their skills, character, and leadership. In this role you will strive for excellence in monitoring and outcome/impacts measurement. Your experience, strong research, organisational and interpersonal skills will lead PCYC’s impact measurement in-line with organisational strategic priorities.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full-time opportunity to lead evidence-based data collection and program impact measurement in line with PCYC strategic and business goals. We are seeking an experienced evaluator who is has a strong understanding and working knowledge of issues facing young people. As part of the team the Social Impact Evaluation Manager is responsible for:

  • Maintaining fit for purpose monitoring and outcomes frameworks  
  • Building systemic youth advocacy capability across PCYC in consultation with Youth Programs innovation team 
  • Building organisational capability in quality data collection, monitoring and outcomes/impact measurement  
  • Leading youth sector research and evaluation partnerships in consultation with Youth Programs innovation team 
  • Informing PCYC strategic and business planning, policy, program innovation through provision of analysis and interpretation of relevant current and emerging research and population data  

 

THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE WILL ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING

  • Maintain measurement and monitoring frameworks and data-collection systems
  • Data collection, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • Contribute to innovative program design, implementation, and evaluation
  • Contribute to tenders, funding submissions and reporting
  • Contribute to research and writing of submissions, policy review, systemic youth advocacy and consultation processes
  • Establish and grow research and evaluation partnerships with relevant universities and research bodies

 

ABOUT YOU

  • You will have demonstrated experience in measuring and evaluating project or program impacts
  • You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in social impact measurement and/or social sciences
  • You will have experience in social research skills and translation of research knowledge into practice
  • You will have the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • You will have the ability to find and interpret relevant research and data to inform evidence-based programming
  • You will have the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
  • You will have an organised and systematic approach to work with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
  • You will demonstrate passion for social change and social impact measurement
