About the role

  • Implement SSI’s Overall Government Relations Plan!
  • Permanent Role- Full Time or Part Time Hours ( x 4 Days )| Based in Logan- QLD |Hybrid Working Model
  • Highly Competitive Remuneration & Benefits| SCHADS Award Level 4 | Base Salary Ranging from $ 74,172.28 – $ 79,807.52 plus super plus Salary Packaging options

Our Advocacy, Research and Communication Function is a high-impact and high-profile function within SSI and is currently seeking to appoint a Stakeholder and Government Relations Coordinator to be based in Logan- Queensland.

One of the key deliverables in the role will be to lead and be responsible for impactful government engagement across internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the achievement of SSI’s strategic goals.

This role has a broad impact and requires capabilities across Government relations, advisory skills, social policy and writing and presentation skills. The primary purpose of the role will be to implement plans which will enable SSI to become an organisation where:

-Government seeks advice from SSI as a recognised, credible, reliable, and informed reference point on client issues and service delivery areas within SSI program portfolio

-SSI is a trusted partner for Government in quality program delivery, and a sector leader who provides informed advocacy and policy analysis and commentary

About You

We are looking for someone with relevant demonstrated experience in developing strong relationships with government stakeholders with a thorough understanding of political processes and established networks. You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and will thrive in a fast – paced complex environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and highly – regarded team with significant opportunity to be a key contributor in implementing SSI’s Government Relations Plans.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience working in Government policy development, public relations or a political advisory role.
  • Experience working in State or Federal government, managing parliamentary, political systems and processes
  • Relevant Tertiary degree qualifications or equivalent industry experience
