About the role …
We are looking for a Homemaker to make a valuable contribution creating a home for our Elders. The position provides significant assistance to clients looking after home cleaning and food service delivery. The successful candidate will excel at maintaining an agreed standard of hygiene and cleanliness, as well as assisting in individual nutrition and hydration according to the Care plan and required legislation.
The role is based in Kilsyth!
About you …
You will have a flexible, caring, patient attitude and an ability to work in a professional and proficient manner.
Qualifications
- Food Handling Certificate Level 1
Skills:
- Understanding the Accreditation Standards and funding guidelines
- The ability to accept directions and to work with minimal supervision
- The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner with an Ethno-specific environment
- An ability to effectively use software and systems required for the position
- The ability or willingness to speak or learn another language with an understanding of other cultures
- The ability to work with frail and/or confused Elders and their families
- A positive and innovating approach to the provision of Aged care
- A flexible, caring and patient attitude
A police check with no disclosable outcome, current flu vaccination and a COVID-19 vaccination is required by MiCare for this position.
A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.
