Arts Law is Australia’s independent national community legal centre for the arts, a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. We provide free or low cost specialised legal advice, education and resources to Australian artists and arts organisations across all art forms, on a wide range of arts related legal and business matters. Arts Law’s Artists in the Black program delivers targeted services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists nationally.

About the role
We are seeking a full-time principal solicitor who is energised by their love of the arts, and motivated by helping Australian creators protect their rights and grow their arts practice.
Arts Law offers flexible working arrangements including a four day compressed week and work from home flexibility. Salary range is $109,667 -$120,966,000 per annum (+ salary packaging + superannuation). This is a full-time role although part-time would be considered for the right applicant.
Prerequisites:
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current unrestricted practising certificate in NSW authorising practise as a principal of a law practice.
- Experience in intellectual property law, including copyright and contracts/commercial law.
- Availability to travel.
