The Organisation
Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) provides general practitioners, skin cancer doctors and nurses with direct access to the latest knowledge and practical skills to improve the identification and treatment of skin cancer.
SCCA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, and is the peak body representing and supporting primary care skin cancer practitioners in both Australia and New Zealand. The organisation is committed to the professional development of its members and the delivery of skin cancer education, advocacy, research and standards.
The Role
Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, you will be an integral member of a small team providing broad assistance to business operations, primarily in the area of finance and accounting.
You will manage daily accounts payable, receivable and payroll, month and year end reconciliations, assist with budget and forecast preparations, maintain data input to MYOB, and provide reporting and asset register maintenance.
The role will suit candidates who seek continuous learning as you upskill to also support risk and compliance, human resources, ICT, spotlight reporting and the ongoing development, maintenance and revision of policies and procedures.
Skills Required
You have experience supporting finance or business, ideally within a services business. You’ll preferably be tertiary qualified in a relative field, and have an understanding of NFP and ACNC governance standards, although not essential.
Additionally, you bring:
- Advanced MYOB skills and knowledge and high attention to detail
- High problem solving, analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to provide support and maintain confidentiality with committee and company secretarial issues
- High level interpersonal, negotiation and rapport building skills
