ABOUT THE MULTICULTURAL PERMANENCY SUPPORT PROGRAM

The Permanency Support Program supports safety, wellbeing and positive life outcomes for children and young people in the child protection and out-of-home-care (OOHC) systems in NSW.

The program provides tailored services and supports for children, young people, and their families who are experiencing vulnerability.

We are an approved service provider under the Casework support scheme to deliver supervised contact, supervised transport, mentoring and respite to vulnerable children/young people in out-of-home care (OOHC) placements. SSI works closely with community organisations, women’s groups, religious organisations and schools to support foster carers, birth families, and children in care to stay connected with their culture, religion and language.

 

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Your role will be to provide administrative and technical skills to support and achieve project success. You will manage documents and records in line with contractual obligations and legislation

  • Undertakes activities related to administration and support implementation of project;
  • Research and analysis to support the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of project;
  • Coordinate the master schedule, calendar and ensure maximum proficiency;
  • Support the timesheet approvals process for the CW support staff, and other related reimbursement;
  • Office management, being the primary contact for the support team for the day to day demand;
  • To provide accurate and timely quotes to referring agencies;
  • Provides administrative support for portfolio and project meetings including taking minutes, scheduling meetings, actioning tasks, booking rooms, diary management, and preparing papers.

 

 

ABOUT YOU

This is an exciting full-time opportunity (working 35hrs per week) to provide admin support in a timely and professional manner in our Bankstown office.

Do you have previous experience in an administration roles/project related role? If so, this could be your next role!

We are looking for someone who is confident, proactive and has the ability to work productively with little supervision. Your ability to communicate effectively, juggle multiple tasks at the same time and always display a high level of customer service will be integral to your success in this role.

  • High School Certificate or relevant admin qualifications
  • A valid NSW driver’s licence
  • Previous experience in administration role/project related role
  • Knowledge of child development and trauma-related models
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and organisational skills
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Previous experience with working with children, young people, carers and families involved in child protection or OOHC services is desirable
