About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to oversee the implementation of our new Homes 4 Families (H4F) Program. The H4F Program will deliver housing and family services support to children and families who were provided with emergency hotel accommodation after experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program will provide intensive and flexible wraparound case management support to assist these families to transition into stable, safe longer-term housing.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for designing a project plan to efficiently and effectively deliver the key objectives of the H4F initiative, and develop high quality models of practice. Using a collaborative approach, the Project Manager will bring together key areas across Uniting as well as key external stakeholders to establish systems, processes and procedures that will enable successful service delivery. The Project Manager will provide timely reports and continuously monitor the project plan to ensure alignment with agreed resourcing, budget and project delivery timelines.

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a degree qualification in project management, community services, public administration or a related discipline.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to scope, plan and implement projects within required timeframes and budgets
  • Demonstrated experience within the homelessness and child, youth and family welfare sector
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high level reports in a timely manner
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
