About the role

  • Located Sydney, 12 month contract (part-time – flexible working)

Mission: Australian Doctors International (ADI) demonstrates its commitment to upholding the universal right to health care by working with local partners to provide and strengthen health services in rural and remote communities.

Role: ADI is seeking an experienced, innovative and ambitious individual to help us raise funds to support our programs in PNG, raise our public profile and work with the Leadership team to develop and implement a long-term integrated strategy for income growth and brand identity. Along with existing networks to tap into, you will bring vision and creativity to the role. Working with the small and passionate ADI team in Sydney and Papua New Guinea you will oversee internal and external communications, ensuring the message is consistent and engaging. This is a newly created role that you will be able to help influence and shape.

Reports to: CEO or delegate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to ADI’s overall strategy as a key member of the Administration team
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, innovative and integrated fundraising plan
  • Plan and oversee the execution of major gift fundraising drives
  • Manage and update – CRM system, ADI website and other social media platforms
  • Donor engagement
  • Work closely with the GM, Finance and Operations and CEO to plan clear short-term and long-term income targets and metrics
  • Build clear messaging and narratives to communicate and engage with ADI’s work to our various stakeholder groups
  • Build a strong Corporate Partnerships and Bequest program
  • Work with the Senior Management team on the production of ADI’s annual report

POSITION CRITERIA:

  • Sound experience in the development and execution of fundraising and marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with stakeholders and donors
  • Experience developing and implementing innovative programs to source funds for health and/or development organisations
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
