The organisation
Settlement Services International (SSI Group) is a leading community-based organisation and social business that supports newcomers and Australians to achieve their full potential. SSI’s programs include facilitating employment, multicultural foster care, disability support, community engagement, advocacy, influencing government and international affairs and providing leadership within the sector nationally and globally.

The position
Reporting to the Head of Home Care Workforce Program, the three Relationship Training Organisation (RTO) Leads will be critical to the implementation and operationalisation of a new business within the aged care and community care sector across multiple locations across NSW/ACT. These roles are to identify, engage and partner with or subcontract RTOs that can deliver high quality training for a large additional workforce of home care workers to support growing demand. You will assist in the development and monitor Memorandum of Understanding arrangements with partner RTOs to ensure the training outcomes are delivered to the standard of excellence required. You will also work alongside Home Care Providers to provide support to students while on work placement and collaborate with them to develop initiatives to create a supportive working environment that will improve the transition of new recruits into the workplace and increase retention rates.

These are excellent opportunities to excel for those with a full understanding of the RTO environment and the compliance required in this highly regulated sector.

Fixed term contracts are offered until August 2024; successful program delivery could see tenure extended. An immediate start is preferred. These roles are based in Parramatta, Bankstown or Canberra and flexible working conditions apply, such as flexible with days / hours of work.

About you
To be successful in these roles, you must demonstrate:

  • Superior understanding of the RTO environment;
  • Leadership qualities, professionalism, driven, team player, collaborative, pragmatic, credible, compassionate and empathetic;
  • Superior communication capability and stakeholder management skills; well-developed negotiation skills;
  • Demonstrated high level relationship management experience;
  • High client solution focused approach;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capability;
  • Excellent reporting ability;
  • Comfortable working in start-up business units and within a high pressure and often ambiguous work environment;
  • Proven program management experience where you have successfully delivered a complex program with strict KPI deliverables within ongoing quality and quantity requirements;
  • Proven expertise delivering and monitoring contractual demands;
  • Experience in aged care or similar sectors would be advantageous;
  • Large budget and operational management expertise; and
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications; travel required.

Some understanding of working with CALD communities and a dynamic social policy environment would be advantageous, as would experience working in a highly regulated, legislative sector. If this sounds like your next career challenge we want to hear from you immediately!
