The People & Culture Business Partner will work closely with service delivery stakeholders across Queensland and New South Wales and deliver best practice integrated human resources function and service. The focus is to build genuine business partner relationships with key internal stakeholders to enable their operational and strategic goals.
This role will also act as a trusted employee and industrial relations advisor to management for people and employment issues. Areas of responsibility include performance management, workplace investigations, employee engagement, remuneration and benefits, recruitment, onboarding, orientation and more. This key role will report to the Senior Manager People & Culture Services and work collaboratively across the People & Culture team. You will demonstrate leadership, a consultative approach, a strong customer focus and an ability to streamline and enhance current processes and systems. You will develop strong relationships with local and regional managers to assist in staff matters. You will help develop and implement P&C policies and procedures, ensure staff compliance and support activities such as employee screening, onboarding, departures and record management. This role will collaborate to produce leadership development programs, remuneration, orientation and induction programs. You will also support and maintain work health and safety activities across the organisation.
About YOU
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated work experience in Human Resources Management,
- Demonstrated experience in workplace and industrial relations, workforce planning, redundancies, performance management, workplace investigations, recruitment, onboarding, orientation and reporting,
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical solutions to P&C issues,
- Demonstrated ability to devise, implement and embed human resources policies and programs,
- Developed relationship building, coaching and influencing skills, and ability to work on complex and sensitive issues,
- Strong written communication skills, with experience writing reports relating to workforce and technical matters,
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with the functioning of an HRMIS,
- Knowledge of SCHADS Award and prior work in the community, health and/or not-for-profit sector are desirable,
- Commitment to the Wellways Australia Values of Honesty, Acceptance, Fairness, Commitment and Participation.
The chosen candidate must have the right to work in Australia, pass a NDIS & National Police Records Check and possess or be willing to obtain a Working With Children’s Check (or similar) and LCS2 (QLD only). COVID Vaccination Certificate x 3 required (or valid medical exemption).
