About the role

Recent expansion of our service has led to a rare opportunity for the right EEN, to join our team of experienced nurses to assist in looking after 800 residents in our retirement village in Capel Sound. We pride ourselves in providing excellent care to our independent living residents in the beautiful, vibrant community which is the Village Glen.

The EEN and RN will work together to provide necessary care and services to the residents of the Retirement Village. The RN will determine what responsibilities each have to the shift, and the EEN will refer and consult with the RN.

 

The primary objectives of the position are:

 

  • Assist in attending emergency call system as the highest priority
  • Assist RN in delivering care and services to all residents of VGRL
  • Excellent assessment, clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload and triage calls
  • Assist in providing non-emergency care in our state of the art clinic, and in the community setting
  • Acute and chronic wound care experience
  • Sound computer skills
  • Provide excellent customer service and support
  • Adherence to Workplace safety guidelines
  • Current driver’s license
  • EEN qualification with at least 3 years post-registration experience. Community or emergency experience highly regarded.

 

 

You will enjoy the stability and flexibility of set part-time hours (days to be confirmed) rather than an ever changing roster but still have the ability to swap within our supportive team for those unavoidable occasions that arise. Ideally, you would also be available to cover extra AM/PM shifts for personal and annual leave within the dedicated team of nurses when possible.

 

Shifts being offered:

 

Day shift – 7.00 a.m. – 3.15 p.m.

PM shifts – 3.00 p.m. – 10.15 p.m.
