About the role

Polyglot Theatre is seeking additional Board Directors to support the company to achieve its strategic vision for the years ahead. Polyglot is committed to building diversity across all levels of its organisation, and the company wants to increase the accessibility and inclusivity of its practice. Polyglot is seeking Board Directors who reflect the diverse communities the company works with, and is actively placing diversity as a priority for its board recruitment process.

While the company is keen to hear from anyone with an interest in Polyglot’s work and skills to offer, Polyglot particularly encourages applications from First Nations people, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people who identify as LGBTIQ+.

Polyglot is also specifically seeking candidates who are professional artists with experience in theatre for young people, have legal expertise and those with expertise in children’s medical or educational research.  People with contemporary insight into the worldview and context of young children, either through professional or personal experience will be highly regarded.
