The position
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will lead the Agency’s Research, Analytics and Data Branch and be responsible for all aspects of data management, analysis, research and insights. This is a highly visible leadership role, both within the Agency and with external Commonwealth and state and territory governments, healthcare providers, healthcare customers and industry stakeholders.
  
The ongoing evolution of data analytics infrastructure (systems and processes) and enrichment of the staff capabilities in data is a core daily focus of your role.
  
About you
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

• Strong ability to lead and manage data programs that inform policy, strategy and services, aligned with national priorities;
• Proven experience in representing organisations in high-level forums, fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders for impactful data management;
• Strong track record of driving innovation, adapting data analytics infrastructure, and enhancing staff capabilities in a rapidly evolving environment;
• Effective leadership in multidisciplinary teams, upskilling members in data governance and analytics and fostering a cohesive, growth-oriented workforce;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, deliver program outcomes and facilitate solutions; and
• Tertiary qualifications in health, business, data, informatics, IT or similar.

This role can be based in the Brisbane, Sydney or Canberra office with highly flexible working conditions.
