The Role:

The Service Delivery Manager has the responsibility for ensuring that the day-to-day delivery of our Supported Independent Living and Community Participation services are delivered to an approved standard that is client focused, with achievable goals that meets the expectations of our clients and other stakeholders through the implemented Seasonal Plans. Ensure each of the houses allocated as your responsibility are at Fina’s set balance scorecard standard – Quality, Client, Corporate and Staff.
The role requires a sound working knowledge and understanding of disability service delivery, team management, training/ mentoring, the ability to maintain set budgets and efficient communication skills.

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, you will be:

  • Responsible for financial sustainability of Supported Independent Living (SIL) Services, ensuring delivery to budgets, ensuring viability to financial changes issued by the NDIS
  • Committed to continuous improvement principles, research, education and adherence to the set quality standards
  •  Lead Area Coordinator planning and functioning across multiple sites
  • Attend, inhouse toolbox meetings with COO and share new strategies with colleagues and provide leadership to Area Coordinators and DSWs
  • Responsible for implementation of systems and processes that place the client at the centre of service delivery, exercising maximum choice and control including NDIS, Quality and Safeguarding standards
  • focused on identifying areas of improvement, and, lead and implement change in Area Coordinator practice
  • Lead complex negotiations with family members, medical services, activity services, Police, Mental Health Services and other community services to support planning for future client requirements at a systemic level 
  • Ensure you have a clear understanding of all finance information that is required to be in the houses, regularly checking information is being updated
  • Ensuring that all staff understand clients’ human rights and support them to ensure their rights are upheld
  • Responsible for ensuring staff members receive ongoing training in disability matters

The Person:
You’ll be driven and show genuine passion for building capability within your team. In addition, you:

  • are a natural leader; modelling a positive attitude, professional conduct and unwavering commitment to quality outcomes and service delivery for staff, individuals with disability and the community
  • have an understanding of legislative, contractual and internal policy, practice and reporting requirements in the sector
  • Demonstrated superior understanding of SIL practices and procedures
  • enjoy working with a high performing group of colleagues and peers and accept responsibility and accountability
  • are an articulate, clear communicator with a high level of literacy
  • possess a high level of integrity, passion and reliability
  • are an advocate for independence with a commitment to social justice principles, access and equity
  • Strong experience in the development and delivery of programs for people with an intellectual and developmental disability
  • can demonstrate a good understanding of NDIS and service delivery frameworks
  • Possess tertiary qualifications, in Social Work, Psychology, Disability or a related field
