Mimal Land Management and Aboriginal Corporation (Mimal) are an independent Aboriginal Corporation founded and led by Dalabon, Rembarrnga, and Mayili landowners in central Arnhem Land. As the Administration and Logistics Manager, you’ll spearhead administration and logistics management for our Darwin-based environmental and land management organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal role ensures seamless project delivery, aligning with our plans and funding commitments. You’ll play a critical part in driving efficient operations that support our mission and strategic objectives, working closely with our management team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Project Management and Reporting:
- Lead key projects in administration, logistics and HR, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Develop project plans, collaborate with teams, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Organisational Management:
- Develop and implement admin and logistics strategies, oversee administrative functions, and evaluate operational performance.
- Manage HR functions including recruitment, induction, and performance management.
Team Leadership and Human Resources:
- Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team, fostering a positive work culture.
- Execute HR responsibilities, ensuring staff development and training.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with indigenous communities, governmental bodies, and partners, fostering effective relationships.
Risk Management and Financial Oversight:
- Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure fiscal compliance alongside the finance team.
ABOUT YOU
To excel in this role you will possess the following skills:
- Administration and Logistics Skills: Solid capabilities to co-ordinate and organise complex, time-critical arrangements. .
- Project Management: Strong ability to lead and manage projects from conception to completion, adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering a positive work environment and performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous communities and governmental bodies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify risks, problem-solve, and implement strategic solutions for organisational improvement.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Understanding of compliance requirements and ability to mitigate risks effectively while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- IT and Digital Management: Proficiency in leveraging technology for efficient administration and digital infrastructure management.
- Cultural Sensitivity: An appreciation and understanding of Indigenous culture and commitment to fostering a culturally inclusive work environment.
You will have the following essential experience and qualifications:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications would be advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, particularly in administration and HR/operations. Previous leadership roles with responsibilities in team management and organisational development are highly desirable.

Competitive Salary: A salary in the range of $110k – $120k + 12.5% Superannuation, 6 weeks Annual Leave (plus Public Holidays), accommodation and utilities paid during remote living and relocation allowance/support available.
