Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH) is the peak body for the Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Sector in Queensland. They represent more than 120 organisations and stakeholders involved in the delivery of community mental health services across the state. At a national level, QAMH collaborate with Community Mental Health Australia, and work alongside members to build capacity, and to advocate on their behalf on issues that impact their operations and people who access their services. QAMH is an independent not-for-profit organisation.
We are seeking a Director of Operations to join their team to contribute to driving change within the mental health and wellbeing sector. Reporting directly to the CEO, and as part of the executive team, you will be instrumental in shaping the organisation’s strategic direction, engage with members statewide, and ensure projects are delivered seamlessly, on time, and within budget. Overseeing the policy development work of QAMH and mechanisms for translating knowledge into development opportunities for the sector is also a key focus of the role.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated leadership experience and possess a deep knowledge of the community mental health sector in Queensland. A strong track record of leadership gained in service provision in community wellbeing programs and an understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the impact upon people with mental illness, their families, and carers will be highly regarded. Demonstrated experience in the successful management of projects will also be highly valued. We anticipate that your career will have been underpinned by tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing or a health-related discipline.
If you are ready to bring these skills to this fulfilling leadership role, we encourage you to apply with a tailored 1 to 2-page cover letter, that articulates your interest and skills alignment along with a detailed resume.
Applications close: 9am Monday 19 February 2024.
Confidential enquiries regarding this opportunity can be made to Suzanne Grant or Taylah Knight on 07 3305 5800.
