About the organisation
The Ella Centre, located at Haberfield, is a leading provider of services to the frail aged, people with dementia and adults with a disability.
About the role
This position is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of a community based social support service and in-home support for adults with a disability and people with dementia receiving supports under the NDIS. The role is responsible for overseeing a large pool of causal support workers that provide remote support.
12-month parental leave cover. Available to start in May 2024
38 hours per week; SCHCADs Grade 4. Salary packaging options available
Work hours: Monday – Friday 7.30am – 3.30pm. The role includes weekend on-call responsibilities.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in social science, welfare, health or related field
- Understanding of the needs of adults with a disability and younger onset dementia and their carers.
- Understanding and experiencing operating a service under the National Disability Insurance Scheme
- Ability to adhere to policies and procedures
- Experience in clinical governance
- Experience in staff onboarding, supervision and training
- Experience in rostering and supervising a large team.
- Experience in service provision and liaising with carers
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience in intake assessments and maintaining documentation.
- Driver’s licence
