About the role

As a Senior Leader on the P&C Leadership Team, you will provide specialist employment and industrial relations advice to the Executive and Senior Management team at Uniting. You will support and develop other key customer groups, including P&C Partnership team and Payroll, to ensure all statutory employer obligations are met.

Leading a small team of two Workplace Relations Advisors and working across multiple industrial instruments, you will:

  • Manage and lead enterprise bargaining and implementation of single enterprise and multi-employer agreements
  • Review and amend the IR strategy to align with sector changes and organisational objectives
  • Provide employment law advice, and case management services on a range of complex workplace relations issues, including managing performance and conduct-related matters
  • Represent Uniting at the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals.
  • Oversee, advise on, and review complex workplace investigations

In addition to your salary ranging between $170k – $190k + Super, you will have access to:

About you
You have previous people and function leadership experience and are comfortable in engaging with and advising a senior and executive customer group. Your extensive experience as a workplace relations practitioner has been built from working in large, diverse, and complex organisations, engaging with unions, and navigating multiple industrial instruments.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and or Law
  • Demonstrated success with developing and implementing bargaining strategies
  • Significant practical experience in appearing before the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian workplace laws incl. keeping abreast of legislative changes, IR Reforms, and sector trends
  • Extensive workplace investigations experience.
