Established in 1907, C&K stands at the forefront of providing high-quality early childhood education and care across Queensland. With over 300 branches and affiliated kindergartens, we are looking for a visionary leader to provide strategic leadership for their corporate and financial governance.
We are seeking an exceptional individual to embrace the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a position of real influence and responsibility. As CFO, you will lead a dynamic team contributing to C&K’s strategic growth during a transformative era in the sector to help steer the organisation towards growth and stability, ensuring financial processes and controls are robust and that financial reporting meets the highest standards.
Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Executive Management Group (EMG), the role provides opportunities to contribute to initiatives aimed at strengthening C&K’s capability to guide the learning journey of children and maximise their life outcomes.
Key areas of focus include the provision of advice, direct oversight and direction to the finance team to ensure effective management of financial controls and reporting, and effective development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. The CFO will also offer guidance to the Head of Corporate Services to ensure the delivery of high-quality, responsive support services to all business units, branches and affiliate services.
In addition, the CFO provides oversight and direction to the IT Manager, ensuring the delivery of quality, fit-for-purpose, and secure IT systems. Organisational business planning, monitoring and reporting to ensure alignment with strategic objectives is also an important deliverable, you will lead the finance team to ensure effective financial controls and reporting, provide financial advice and analysis to the Board and CEO, manage cash flow and investment strategies to maximise financial strength and oversee IT systems and support function to deliver high-quality services to the organisation.
We anticipate that you will possess CPA/CA accreditation and that your financial leadership has been gained in a comparably sized Not-For-Profit environment. Your success in this role will be supported by your leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
