About the organisation
St Kilda South Port Uniting Church (SKSP) was formed in 2023 from the congregations of St Kilda, South Melbourne and Port Melbourne. Together we have worshipped in and served the local community for 160 years. During 2023 and 2024 work has been conducted to fully integrate the financial accounts, property management, staffing and office operations.

About the role
The Administration and Operations Coordinator plays an important role in the St Kilda South Port Uniting Church, undertaking a wide range of duties to support the smooth operations of the amalgamated congregation. This includes activities such as finances, property, IT, record keeping, and being a point of contact for internal and external enquiries.
This is an ongoing position with part time hours of 22.8 (0.6) per week.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelors Degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years’ working in a similar role, with strong experience in administration and operations.
- Demonstrated experience in working with accounts receivables and payables, coordinating signatory approvals, reporting and other account related activities.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate property matters such as working with contractors and overseeing property maintenance, supplies, equipment, assets, security and key registers.
- High level computer skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, accounts software, website maintenance and social media.
- The ability to balance tasks efficiently, deliver exceptional service, be self-motivated and have the ability to problem solve in alignment with the SKSP decision making procedures.
- Experience working with contractors and adhering to professional communication guidelines.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a Working with Children Check
- Have the right to work in Australia
- Undergo a National Police Check before commencement
- Be willing to travel locally between St Kilda, South Melbourne and Port Melbourne
- Be willing to undertake work in a hybrid arrangement
