Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council was founded by and is led, governed and directed by women from the NPY region. It was created to give a voice to women across 26 desert communities in the cross-border regions of Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Today, we continue to provide progressive, innovative and evidence-based work in service delivery, advocacy and support.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Finance team is a critical support service to our organization and is responsible for all invoice payments, salary payments and budget preparation. The department also ensures the organization complies with a variety of external financial regulations by preparing periodic reporting for a number of external institutions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are now recruiting for a motivated Finance Officer to process the weekly payroll for 150 – 250 employees across Central Australia.Reporting to the Finance Manager and working as part of a small team the Payroll Officer works with KeyPay, Xero, ApprovalMax and Asset Guru.
The role educates users and ensures compliance with all relevant account and financial legislation, awards, employment agreements and NPY Women’s Council’s policy and procedures.You are friendly and confident in dealing with internal and external stakeholders by telephone.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal person will have formal accounting or payroll qualifications and / or demonstrated experience (3-5 years) in a similar role with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
