About the organisation
About the role
OnTalent is excited to be partnering with one of Queensland’s largest non-government providers of health and safety education to children in their search for their next Chief Executive Officer.
Whilst we can’t share the organisation we can tell you it has undergone incredibly significant transformation and growth over the past decade under the leadership of their current CEO and with their retirement imminent, it is the type of role and opportunity that comes to the market rarely.
There has never been a more important time for the work of this organisation and with an impressive reach throughout Queensland, there is much to be proud of in this role.
With existing government and non-government partnerships and a significant fundraising program, this organisation has solid foundations in place for a new CEO who has a track record of financial success and impact to take it to new heights.
Taking the reins of an exceptionally healthy organisational culture that values respect and inclusion. You will be a visionary, forward-thinking CEO, committed to leading the organisation to achieve its 2030 goals. You will need to have a razor-sharp focus on revenue generation, commercial innovation, and strategy so that they can continue to grow their impact.
With a strong and stable Board, and leading a small and highly capable leadership team your key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the strategic planning, goal setting and budgeting process, including reporting to the Board on progress towards the achievement of the organisation’s goals.
- Oversee and lead the diversification and growth in the organisations revenue base, maximise existing partnerships and establish new ones.
- Maintain government and bi-partisan relations and achieve growth in revenue from government and non-government agencies.
- Increase our social impact through a strong focus on innovation and the development and delivery of best practice programs that meet the needs of schools and other stakeholders.
- Support the Board in achieving good governance and ensure funding, contractual and reporting obligations are met.
- Lead and role model child-safe behaviours and ensure an organisation-wide commitment to child safety, demonstrated through policies, processes and actions to keep children safe.
- Be the public face of the organisation to the media and the wider public, growing our public influence, confidence, and relevance.
- Effectively manage the organisation’s finances and resources.
You may have made your mark on either a commercial or NFP (or both) organisation over your career, characterized by achieving significant growth in both revenue and impact. You are a gentle change maker and change leader who can make the complex simple, and the simple compelling tailored to a diverse range of audiences and stakeholders internally and externally to the organisation. Externally, government relations experience would be highly regarded. You are not shy in front of a camera.
If you are a values-driven, yet commercially astute leader who wants to make a difference in the lives of children and young people you need to enquire about this important and exciting role today.
