About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE

Top Blokes is a growing organisation and we’re seeking an experienced Grants and Fundraising Manager who excels at writing and securing grants, thrives on project managing campaigns and enjoys the challenge of multitasking and meeting short timeframes. This newly created role will report to the Managing Director and will work alongside other fundraising team members.

The Grants and Fundraising Manager will have two key responsibilities:

a) Manage and grow the grants program including identifying grant opportunities, preparation of submissions and reporting on deliverables

b) Manage all areas of the community fundraising program including project managing the signature Lift the Load Campaign

This role will be required to work under limited supervision and will need to work collaboratively with all internal and external key stakeholders to ensure targets are met and exceeded.

1. While Top Blokes is seeking candidates with experience across both fundraising areas, we’re also open to receiving applications from candidates who specialise in one of the key areas mentioned above e.g. grants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Grants Management:

  • Lead research, prospecting and preparation of grant submissions across government, philanthropy and corporate.
  • Collaborate with the programs team to prepare project budgets, develop supporting materials and gather relevant evidence for the submissions.
  • Lead the growth strategy of the grants program by identifying and connecting with prospective partners
  • Manage all grant reporting including collation of impact data, deliverables and expenditure reporting.

2. Community Fundraising Management:

  • Project manage the signature Lift the Load Fundraising Campaign (three-month campaign between August – October) and work collaboratively with the marketing and corporate partnerships team as well as project suppliers.
  • Secure new avenues and relationships to leverage fundraising opportunities
  • Work with regional teams to identify and secure local level community fundraising opportunities
  • Proactively use the fundraising database (Salesforce) to develop and manage supporters and ensure all activity and correspondence is recorded accurately.
  • Be readily available for any unexpected fundraising opportunities that may present themselves.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • 2+ years experience across grants and/or P2P fundraising
  • Demonstrated experience securing multiple grants across philanthropy, corporate and government
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a persuasive writing style
  • Strong project management skills including handling multiple priorities, short timeframes and working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently whilst meeting the demands of the organisation
  • Demonstrated experience working under limited supervision
  • Cleared Working with Children’s Check and National Police Check
  • Have a valid drivers license and own a reliable vehicle
