A unique opportunity has opened in their Commercial lending team for an experienced professional to join this long serving organisation as the National Lending Manager, with the existing long-term National Lending Manager stepping back to a part-time role as part of a succession plan. The organisation has a long and strong reputation as a valued commercial partner that really understands the Church, schools and Christian not-for-profit sector nationally, as well as providing their clients nationally with exceptional service, value and satisfaction while meeting their commercial finance needs.
The commercial lending business is now embarking on a large, long term expansion plan nationally, with a primary focus in the church and school sector but including also the SME commercial lending sector and are currently expanding its loan origination and capital base to support this. This role would be considered key to the success of scaling up this area of the broader business and be responsible for building a larger lending team to help resource this into the future.
This role will be responsible for driving business development and credit risk assessment processes. You will also be working with the CEO and Board finalising the securing of increased capital for loan origination and bedding down new partnerships in this space, preparing quotations, developing submissions for approval, and liaising with the client and other relevant parties to transition to an unconditional loan offer, borrower acceptance, settlement and loan book monitoring, management and reporting.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in commercial property lending and/-or broking experience, have extensive exposure to providing commercial lending solutions and credit risk assessments.
You will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, have a high level of internal motivation and drive to meet and exceed client expectations, have excellent communication skills, be hands on and strongly aligned to the core values and mission of this Church owned organisation. You will be tertiary qualified in a related discipline and/or have a Certificate 4 in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
You will ideally have strong alignment to their mission, culture and purpose of the organisation, coupled with a solid understanding of commercial lending and can extend this into the Church and not-for-profit sectors as well.
In return the company offers you a unique opportunity to join a growing and successful values-based organisation that is making a real difference in communities. The salary package is designed to attract the right candidate for this position including a generous base salary and super.
