About the organisation
The For Purpose Alliance (FPA) is dedicated to uniting for purpose leaders and building capability within the Australian social sector.
Established in 2015, FPA catalyses the collective wisdom, knowledge and experience of leaders in the For-Purpose Sector to help them navigate challenges, change and uncertainty to achieve sustainable organisational success - and maximise impact.
FPA provides a network of collaborative leaders who understand the social purpose sector. Our Members are leaders from a range of organisations including non-profits, associations, social enterprises, and for purpose organisations.
FPA offers a variety of leadership programs exclusively for the sector:
- The FPA Leadership Hubs - a collaborative network for CEOs and Executives with both Face2Face and Remote HUB programs available.
- FPA Coaching Programs.
- FPA Strengths – Individual Assessments and Team Workshops.
- FPA Priority Goal Setting – For Individuals + Team Workshops.
- FPA Team Purpose Workshops / Values Workshops
- FPA Keynote Series – including Roundtables, Workshops and Signature Events.

The For Purpose Alliance (FPA) is seeking two exceptional individuals to take on the role of FPA Chair in Sydney and Brisbane. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership and coaching role that supports some of the most purposeful and influential leaders in Australia’s social sector.
As an FPA Chair, you will:

Lead a Leadership Hub of 12–15 senior social sector executives
-
Facilitate monthly in-person Hub Days using FPA’s structured tools and frameworks
-
Coach & mentor through quarterly 1-on-1 sessions that deepen capability and confidence
-
Build a dynamic, values-led peer network and foster deep collaboration
We’re looking for values-aligned leaders who are:
-
10+ years in a senior executive role (CEO/Executive level) in the for-purpose or non-profit sector
-
Demonstrated experience in leadership, governance, mentoring, and coaching. Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders from diverse areas of the sector.
- Well networked and highly regarded within the For Purpose sector.
Start: July 2025 (with training provided prior to commencement)
