Arts Capital Limited manages two ACT Government facilities, Ainslie Arts Centre and Gorman Arts Centre, together known as ‘Ainslie+Gorman’. The company has a 5 year grant, 2023 to 2027, from the ACT Government through artsACT and a head licence to occupy both centres. The centres are heritage-listed. Gorman is currently undergoing a significant refurbishment by the ACT Government, funded by it and the Commonwealth Government, reflecting its status as a building more than 100 years old, operating for over 40 years as an arts centre. Our vision for the arts centres is a home for creativity that reflects the diversity and passion of the local community, supports artistic development and helps build connections.

About the role

This a full time leadership role, mostly onsite (with flexibility) and sometimes requiring after hours presence and attendances.

The CEO is also the Director of Ainslie+Gorman.

The CEO leads and manages the company and a small, highly-skilled team of arts facilities and venue management professionals, committed to the company’s mission of nurturing safe and vibrant community spaces for creativity to thrive.

The CEO provides creative, strategic and ethical leadership to foster and manage a collaborative culture aligned with and underpinned by the company’s goals and values articulated in the Arts Capital Strategic Plan 2024-2027.

The role encompasses full operational oversight, financial management, human resource development, and management of complex stakeholder engagement, both internal and external.
