About the role
The Australian Diabetes Educators Association is currently seeking to appoint an independent member to its Complaints Committee. This is a voluntary position and any complaints are managed by email or teleconference. The successful applicant will:
- Understand professional membership organisations
- Understand the role of a professional formal complaints process
- Has experience on such a committee
- Seek to remain objective in deliberations about complaints
Members of the complaints committee should be familiar with and abide by the ADEA Constitution, By-Laws and Code of conduct. Please click here to view these documents. ADEA is a not for profit organisation working with health professionals, government and the public to reduce the prevalence and impact of diabetes both in Australian and overseas. The ADEA believes in the rights of people with or at risk of diabetes, their carers and their families to timely access to quality diabetes education and care that meet their individual needs and circumstances throughout the continuum of life and the continuum of diabetes. The ADEA is committed to supporting its members’ efforts to provide evidence – based best practice diabetes education and care to people with or at risk of diabetes, their carers and families.
