About the role
Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services (Djerriwarrh) is a highly regarded not for profit charitable organisation which has been delivering high quality education, training, employment and youth programs in the western suburbs of Melbourne since 1989. Djerriwarrh’s Mission Statement is to ‘support individuals and the local community to learn, connect and grow’. Djerriwarrh works in partnership with the community, other community based organisations, participants/clients and local, state and federal governments.
The Board is seeking new board members who are interested in contributing to our organisation’s Mission with the ability to work at a strategic level. The Board welcomes applications from people that:
- Have experience in adult or school education; or
- Have a background in human resources, law, marketing, community or youth development or accounting.
Board positions are honorary. Djerriwarrh Board strongly encourages expressions of interest from Aboriginal peoples, people from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and people with a disability.
