Board Directors – The Sovereign Hill Museums Association

This is an exciting time for The Sovereign Hill Museums Association Ltd, located in Ballarat. On the cusp of turning 50 years old with major master planning underway, the organisation is seeking expressions of interest from experienced individuals with the knowledge, passion, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to serve as an independent voluntary Director on its skill-based Board. The Board is elected by the members, but a board recruitment process selects candidates for nomination to the members. The Board selects its Chair from among its number and the organisation is also looking for its next high impact Chair.

Our Board members are valued business and community leaders who provide strategic direction and governance to the organisation and represent Sovereign Hill to stakeholders, together with the Executive.

The position is voluntary and requires a commitment to attend bi-monthly Board meetings, some events at the museum and be involved in a sub-committee. Expressions of interest are welcome from individuals, ideally with experience in one or more of the following domains:
• Business and governance,
• Human resources
• Fundraising and marketing
• The arts sector including museum practice
• The education and learning sector
