General Committee Member

You’ll be joining a management team who are passionate and unwavering in their support of people in our community. In this role you will be bringing a shared commitment to the philosophy of the organisation and importantly bring your own professional and/or volunteering experience to the overall operation of the organisation. We actively encourage and foster thinking outside the box, so you will be able to explore and use your creativity freely; being passionate, questioning the status quo and staying curious about new openings will be endearing qualities to the role. We expect that you will be rewarded with substantial personal and professional development in the role.

What you’ll do
You will be part of small and dedicated management team and bring your ideas and experiences to a dynamic charity. You will be active in contributing towards day-to-day operations as well as the improvement and sustainable growth of 300 Blankets.

Your contributions as Committee Member will include:
• Responsibilities relating to the day-to-day management and operation of 300 Blankets;
• Share your ideas and views;
• Take ownership and accountability for the fulfilment of tasks assigned to you (or which you choose to take part in);
• Participate in planning, goal setting and decision making for the organisation;
• Share the workload so all Committee Members are doing their part;
• Attend monthly Committee Meetings;
• Volunteering at least once with each of our 3 service Programs.

Commitment:
• 6 months
• 0-2 hours per week.
