About the role

You’re a results driven Marketing/Comms person looking for your next challenge but still hungry to learn. You want to help our small team to increase our brand awareness and lead in the creation of our marketing strategy that will be dynamic and enhance our public presence.

You’ll be joining a management team who are passionate and unwavering in our support of people in our community at risk of, or who are experiencing homelessness.
This role will entail establishing and managing the enhanced awareness of the 300 Blankets brand, ensuring we have a strong, consistent marketing-communications strategy that supports the charity’s current operations and future ambitions.

What you’ll do
Your role will require positioning 300 Blankets as a key service provider in the homelessness space and reinforce the importance of the services provided by 300 Blankets to the community.
300 Blankets has recognised that extensive changes and improvements are required in its Marketing to increase its brand awareness.

As the Marketing & Communications Manager you will be responsible for:
• Managing and having oversight of all marketing for the charity and its associated activities;
• Identifying key supporting roles required to build a competent and resilient Marketing & Comms Team;
• Developing the marketing strategy for the charity in line with charity objectives;
• Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications strategy (e.g. monthly, quarterly annually);
• Regular and effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant charity functions are kept informed of marketing objectives;
• Coordinate with the Partnership Director, analysing/identifying potential strategic partner relationships for the charity;
• Attend regular monthly meetings with the 300 Blankets volunteer management team.

Commitment:
• 12 months.
• 0-3 hours per week.

   o Contribute towards the building of a Marketing Team which you can manage;
   o Develop a content creation strategy;
   o Developing relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage both online and offline; including pitching stories and writing copy;
   o Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results;
   o Overall responsibility for brand management;
   o Leading website redevelopment & optimisation;
   o Development and roll out of a capstone marketing campaign.

• Very good social, written and verbal communication skills;
• 2 years’ demonstrated relevant experience in marketing and/or communications;

• Experience with CRMs, marketing, and social media platforms.
