About the role

Alzheimer’s WA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to assist our Memory Cafe Sessions in Woodvale. Reporting to the Group’s Coordinator, you’ll spend time with our members during morning tea, participating in activities and making them feel welcomed.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to enjoy chatting with our group members in a friendly and supportive environment, sharing life experiences and creating lasting friendships. We welcome individuals who are passionate about helping others and who possess excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

 

We’re looking for support every Wednesday of the month, between 9 and 11 am.

 

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in the aged care sector, make a difference in people’s lives, and develop new skills while enhancing your existing ones. You will have the chance to meet new people and build new relationships while being a part of a supportive and friendly team. We welcome candidates who are willing to learn and participate in training and development and who have a basic understanding of work health and safety in the workplace.

 

Alzheimer’s WA will provide you with training and support from our experienced staff and you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of people living with dementia.
