About the role

Real Industry Job Interview (RIJI) Volunteer

 

Organisation description

The Banyule Nillumbik Local Learning and Employment Network (BNLLEN) is a not for profit, independent community organisation, supporting 19 secondary schools in the Banyule Nillumbik local government areas. BNLLEN develops school, community, and industry partnerships, working alongside local secondary schools to improve career development and create opportunities for students to learn about the world of work.

 

RIJI supports local students to build their job ready skills and experience a practise interview. We are seeking local industry and community volunteers to participate as interviewers for this program. We currently have students registered who would greatly benefit from your time, effort, and knowledge.

 

Volunteer description

You will be volunteering in a one-to-one practise job interviews with year 9 students across from Banyule and Nillumbik schools. Provide students with feedback on their resume/cover letters, interview answers and presentation. Training and materials will be provided.

Location

Diamond Creek and Montmorency

 

Time required

Volunteers can commit to as many of the event days as they would like to and can decide if they would like to attend a full or half day session (AM or PM).

Events will take place on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, 16th October
  • Tuesday, 22nd October

Volunteers will also be required to attend a one-hour training session on Tuesday, 11th of September.
