About the role
The Chair plays a pivotal role in guiding the organisation through a period of transformation, ensuring the continuation of high-quality aged care services that reflect the unique Hungarian cultural heritage.
We are looking for a leader with:
- Previous experience as a Chair, Board Director, or senior leadership role
- Strong governance, compliance, and strategic planning expertise
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A commitment to cultural preservation and community wellbeing
- Aged care sector knowledge
Additional Skills and Desirable Attributes:
Applicants with knowledge of governance principles such as those taught in the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Company Directors Course (CDC) will be highly regarded.
Experience in the aged care sector and familiarity with the Aged Care Act 1997 and Aged Care Quality Standards is also desirable, given the regulated environment in which we operate.
Furthermore, a connection to Hungarian heritage, culture, or the Hungarian community is valued, as Árpád Aged Care is dedicated to preserving and celebrating this cultural legacy for our residents and their families.
The Chair will work collaboratively with the Committee, Executive Manager, and key stakeholders to drive our strategic plan and uphold our mission.
