Board Member – Circular Economy Asia

The circular economy is a resource management framework, and Circular Economy Asia (CEA) is focused on (1) Skills training; (2) Supply chains; (3) The development of secondary raw materials industry – in Australia and across the Asian region. To date,  CEA has launched a skills training – https://www.circularskills.org/ – and is actively pursuing other projects specifically related to our three pillars.

Australia, like many other countries, cannot achieve its circular or sustainability goals without engaging its supply chain, usually across the Asian region. The role of the Board is to work with the founder, Ms Adrienna Zsakay (Secretary), to ensure we can achieve our vision and mission.

 Roles: 

1. Chairman
2. Director
3. Member

Activities:

• Provide governance oversight in line with the organisation’s constitution and values.
• Contribute to strategic planning and evaluation of key projects and pilots.
• Ensure compliance with relevant governance and reporting obligations
• Participate in monthly board meetings and subcommittee work as required.
• Act as an ambassador for CEA, building networks and partnerships.

Desired skills and experience: 

• Marketing and communication
• Strategic planning
• Project management
• Work experience in Asia or developing countries would be beneficial

Time Commitment:

Approximately 6–8 hours per month, including board meetings, subcommittee work, and preparation.
