About the Role
TPI Victoria Inc. (the Totally & Permanently Incapacitated Ex-Servicemen & Women’s Association of Victoria Inc.) was formed in 1926 and has a long and proud history of providing welfare, advocacy, benefits & concessions along with supporting its members, their families, dependants and the broader Veteran Community over the past 90 years.
TPI Victoria Inc. operates from a North Melbourne office and provides support for its members across the State.
The Association requires an auditor. The role is a flexible part time role in a friendly environment of volunteers and some paid staff. The work requires approximately 5 to 6 days work per year. The role is renewed annually.
Basically the accounts will be prepared by association staff and only the audit is required.

There is scope for an honorarium to be paid as a reimbursement of out of pocket costs incurred. This will be negotiated on appointment.
As a ‘Tier 2 incorporated association’ and a ‘patriotic fund’ operating under the requirements of Consumer Affairs Victoria there are slightly different audit requirements Essentially what is required is:
• The financial statements must be audited by a member of, who holds a current practising certificate issued by either CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or Institute of Public Accountants,
• The audit should comply with the Australian Auditing Standards.
